🧠 Training Philosophy
Training Philosophy & Standards
Regulation Before Stimulation
We prioritize emotional regulation before introducing excitement, freedom, or high-energy activities. A regulated dog is able to think, respond, and make appropriate choices. Stimulation is earned through calm, intentional behavior—not used to create it.
Reinforced Behaviors
We consistently reinforce:
Voluntary checking in with handlers
Responsive recall, even with distractions present
Calm, controlled movement within structure
These behaviors create clarity, reliability, and trust across all environments.
Intentional Free Play
Free play is purposeful and limited, not constant. It is:
Earned through regulation and responsiveness
Introduced thoughtfully
Ended before over-arousal occurs
This allows dogs to enjoy freedom while maintaining awareness and control.
Training Is Continuous
Training is integrated throughout the entire day, including:
Walks, group walks, and hikes
Long-line exploration
Rest periods and place work
Recall practice
Transitions (doors, vehicles, leashing, settling in and out of activities)
By training within real-life moments, dogs learn self-regulation, engagement, and appropriate behavior beyond formal training sessions.
Pack Program (Daycare)
The Pack Program is a small-group, training-focused program built around structure, regulation, and consistency. Dogs in The Scout Program are part of a working pack focused on awareness, recall, neutrality, and self-regulation.
$55 per day *$90 for sibling dogs
The Scout Program (5 day package)
The Pack Program is built on trust, consistency, and shared values. The five day option is great for busy families and pups that needed a continued extra focus. Each day is finished with a personalized doggy doc full of the day’s details, training and homework. When owners and handlers work together, dogs thrive.

Boarding
When your pup stays overnight, they don't sit in a run waiting for a walk; they are fully integrated into our signature Pack Program. This means their daily itinerary is packed with pack program activities.
$150 nightly *additional 25 per sibling dog
Structure & Regulation: Morning neighborhood walks and trail hikes that focus on leash manners and emotional neutrality.
Social Education: Supervised pack play where "big personalities" learn to be gentle leaders and shy pups build grounded confidence.
One-on-One Mastery: Individualized training sessions throughout the day to sharpen recall, "sit-stays," and impulse control.
Restorative Rest: After a day of burning energy and expanding their minds, our overnights conclude with cozy, supervised lounge time in a real home environment—not a cold crate.
Meet and Greet
All dogs are evaluated before boarding to ensure safe integration into the pack.
